TORONTO – Lynne Gauthier of Kirkland Lake is $100,000 richer after winning the top prize with Instant Wild Card (Game #2268).
Lynne, a 63-year-old personal support worker, said she thought she was dreaming when she played her ticket in the store. “I saw the win on the first line with the matching amount and started talking to myself saying, ‘Really? Am I dreaming this?’” she shared. “When I looked around the store and realized no one else was in there other than myself and the clerk who knows me, I shouted, ‘I’m a winner!’ and we both started to celebrate. It was such a wonderful experience.”
While at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Lynne said, “I am still in disbelief and overwhelmed with happiness. I’ve never seen this many zeroes on a cheque in my life! Today is my birthday – this gift will be tough to beat!” she laughed.
She plans to save some of her win for retirement and will complete some home renovations. “I have a new kitchen and bathroom coming my way and I am just thrilled!” she smiled.
OLG is currently booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto only for those claims that require a face-to-face interview. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail. The health and safety of our customers and employees remains our top priority and OLG looks forward to providing future updates on the further availability of in-person prize claims.
