On October 12, 2015, police received a report of a break, enter and theft at a residence in the area of Kent Avenue in Timmins.

The incident was reported by a resident after returning home to discover the residence in disarray and items missing.

Items taken include electronics, food items, and clothing items.

More significantly, also taken was an oak shadow box containing various service medals and service patches, as well as an artillery shell (black with two white stripes and the word “INERT” imprinted in yellow), and a number of .50 cent coins.

These items hold great sentimental value for the victim and are irreplaceable.

Attached is a photo of similar medals to the ones taken.

Anyone having come across similar items in recent days, or having any information about this incident is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 705-268-8477.

Please help to return these priceless items to their rightful owner.
