Sept. 5 update

The Timmins Police Service is advising that, Kirsten Chartrand, 17, of Timmins, who had been reported as missing to the Timmins Police Service, has been located.

A comprehensive search and other investigative measures were used to attempt to locate the missing person.

Chartrand was located yesterday evening and her well-being has been confirmed. This matter is deemed to be a closed incident with no further police action required.

The Timmins Police Service is thankful to the general public for their assistance in regards to this matter.

The Timmins Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person who has been reported to them as missing. The Timmins Police would like to determine the current whereabouts of Kirsten Chartrand, age 17.

She is described as:

  • a Caucasian female person
  • 5’3 tall
  • weighing approximately 110lbs ​​​​​​
  • thick build
  • brown eyes
  • long dark brown hair, possibly dyed black

She was last seen by friends on Sept. 2 but has not had been in contact with family members since Sept. 1 via text message. Clothing descriptors are unavailable but, she commonly known to carry a black and beige backpack with brown straps.
