TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

The Timmins Police Service is in the midst of investigating a two vehicle MVC at the intersection of Airport Road and Westmount Street in the north end of the city.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:46 a.m. and remains under investigation.
Persons involved in the collision have been brought to Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance with undetermined level of injury.
Traffic is being re-routed at the intersections of Airport Road and Theriault Blvd as well as Airport Road and Laminen Street.
Traffic delays in this area are expected to persist for the next few hours. Motorists are asked to avoid this area if at all possible until the scene has been released.
Timmins Fire Department personnel were called to the scene to assist with extrication and have since cleared the scene.
