Police issue another plea to help find missing Constance Lake man

It's believed he was hitchhiking towards Thunder Bay

Police have issued another plea for the public's help to find a missing Constance Lake man. 

Dean Mattinas, 27, was last seen around 9:30 a.m. on March 18 walking near the bush line on Highway 11 about six kilometres west of Constance Lake First Nation, which is near Hearst. It's believed he was hitchhiking toward Thunder Bay. He was reported missing to Nishnawbe Aski Police Services (NAPS) on March 27. 

Earlier this month, James Bay OPP put out a call for people who may have dash cam video footage from that area of Highway 11 between the morning of March 17 and the evening of March 18. 

"Police are also requesting the public call to report any sightings of the male, or if they picked up a lone male hitchhiker matching Dean's description," reads an April 25 news release from OPP.

He is described as an Indigenous male who with 5' 10"tall with an athletic build, black hair, brown eyes, thin moustache and slight sideburns. He was last seen wearing a camouflage or beige jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots. He also may have had a black Under Armour brand tote bag and/or a brown backpack.
