Police investigating murder (updated)

The scene's been released, but there's a police presence in the area of Mountjoy and Second for the ongoing investigation

The serious incident on Mountjoy Street South is a now murder investigation, says Timmins Police.

It happened yesterday afternoon (Nov. 17) inside an apartment building. 

A man sustained life-threatening injuries during the occurrence. He was brought to Timmins and District Hospital where he was pronounced dead, said police. The name of the victim has not even released to allow for next-of-kin notification.

Police are waiting for the post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death.

Police said the scene has been released, however, there is a police presence in the area of Mountjoy Street South and Second Avenue for the investigation.
