KIRKLAND LAKE - Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the assistance of OPP Technical Traffic Collision (TTCI) Investigators are investigating a fatal two motor vehicle collision. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 11 and 112 in Pacaud Township. The incident was reported to police at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2017.
The male driver a 34-year-old man from Kirkland Lake, Ont. was fatally injured. The driver of the other involved vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
The highway was closed for over seven hours while officers conducted their investigation.
Also assisting at the scene was the Kirkland Lake Fire Department.
The investigation into the cause of the collision continues.
