PHOTOS: South Porcupine remembers

Two ceremonies were held in Timmins

People gathered in South Porcupine to honour Remembrance Day today. 

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 287 held its annual ceremony, which started with a short march through the streets. There was representation from the legion, local politicians, Timmins Police, OPP, Timmins Fire Department, Whitney Volunteer Firefighters, Cochrane District EMS, Porcupine Minor Hockey Association, and more.

The South Porcupine event was one of two ceremonies marking Remembrance Day in Timmins. 

An event was also held at the Timmins cenotaph in Hollinger Park.
