People asked not to visit Golden Manor unless necessary

Unless "absolutely necessary," people are being asked to not visit the Golden Manor.

A notice posted to the City of Timmins website says the manor is “currently in an outbreak situation with a number of residents experiencing cold symptoms.”

It also asks that children not be brought to the facility right now. People who do visit should follow the precautions posted at the front doors.

“We want to reassure families that if your loved one becomes ill, you will be contacted by the Golden Manor staff. If you want to know how your loved one is doing, please do not hesitate to call the unit on which they reside and the staff will provide you with updates,” reads the notice.
