A renowned journalist and author is heading back to town.

Gwynne Dyer is at the Timmins Museum: NEC on May 7 at 7 p.m.

The author, historian and journalist is giving a current affairs lecture in the main gallery.

"Dr. Dyer is an outspoken and gifted public speaker who writes a weekly column for many newspapers around the world, including the Timmins Daily Press. He has written several books and is frequently called upon to provide commentary on international conflicts," reads the news release.

"The evening's discussions will look at the current state of the world, including climate change, and will, as always, include a question-and-answer session."

Tickets are $10 each and available at the museum, which is located at 325 Second Ave. The event usually sells out and tickets at the door are not guaranteed.
