OPP detachments in the region are looking for auxiliary members.
The Kirkland Lake and Temiskaming OPP detachments are looking to add to their auxiliary unit at the Temiskaming, Temagami, Englehart and Kirkland Lake offices.
The members are needed for community policing, crime prevention initiatives, community events, OPP special occasions, patrol and public service.
The basic requirements for people to apply are:
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- At least 18 years old
- Ontario Grade 12 or equivalent
- G driver's licence with a good record
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
- Certified in First Aid and CPR
