OPP expanding search for missing man

OPP is now expanding their search to include the areas of Watabeag Lake Road, Matheson and Gibson Lake

KIRKLAND LAKE - The Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently searching for 66-year-old Paul Yelland who was last seen on Oct. 23, 2017 at around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Beaver Lake, near the Town of Matachewan. 

The OPP is now expanding their search to include the areas of Watabeag Lake Road, Matheson and Gibson Lake.

Members of the OPP Northeast Region Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit and Aviation Services are continuing their search for the missing male. Temiskaming/Kirkland Areas Civilian Search and Rescue as well as Timmins Search and Rescue have also provided assistance.

He is described as being 6', approximately 250 lbs. He has brown eyes, gray hair and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing blue pyjama pants, rubber ankle high boots, a light shirt with a fluorescent orange vest and an orange helmet.

He may be driving a 2006 red Honda Rubicon TRX four wheeler with Ontario licence plate RT758.
