On May 4, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Timmins Police officers were called to a residence after receiving a call regarding an unwanted person.

It is alleged that, after speaking to police, the individual in question threw an object at the police vehicle, causing the vehicle’s windshield to break. The individual was transported to the Timmins Police Service.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the accused was bound by conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Police also determined that the accused was in possession of controlled substances.

As a result, Briana Cabral, 23, of Timmins, was charged with mischief under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance (x2), and breach of probation. Cabral was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for today, May 5, 2017.
