TIMMINS, September 19, 2013—There’s still time to nominate someone worthy of a Young Professionals Award, as the Timmins Chamber of Commerce has extended the deadline for submissions to Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013.
To be held at the Porcupine Dante Club on October 24, 2013, the Young Professionals Awards evening is a gala event celebrating the contributions that professionals under the age of 40 make to the business community, and the community at large. Organized by the Chamber’s Young Professionals Committee, last year’s event saw a sold-out crowd of 250.
The 2013 awards gala will see awards handed out across seven categories, including:
• Young Leader • Young Volunteer • Young Dealmaker • Professional Services • Creative Spirit • Trades and Technology • Next-Generation Best Place to Work

Submissions will be accepted until Sept. 26, 2013 at 5 p.m., and can be made via email at [email protected], or in person at the Chamber.
