Noise complaint leads to arrest

Officers recognized one of the individuals involved as being the subject of an arrest warrant

The Timmins Police responded to a noise complaint at an apartment building located in the south end of Timmins (the morning of June 26). Upon arrival at the scene, Timmins Police officers spoke with a number of persons involved in the incident, one of whom was recognized as being the subject of an arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police Service.

The responding Timmins Police Service officers quelled the noise issue and then proceeded to arrest the wanted person. Further investigation revealed that she was allegedly in contravention of conditions imposed by means of an undertaking. Theresa Wesley, 36, of Timmins has been arrested and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused has been held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing which was slated to take place this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
