The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (MNDMNRF) reported two new wildfires, one of them spotted around 75 km from Sudbury.
- Parry Sound 11, which was confirmed yesterday evening, measures 0.8 hectares, and it is located outside Sudbury, one km east of Highway 69 and one km south of French River Road. The fire has been reported under control.
- Algonquin Park 5, a 0.4-hectare fire that was confirmed this morning, is located in Algonquin Provincial Park, 200 metres northeast of Opeongo Lake and 200 metres south of Wright Lake. It is being held.
