This exciting new opportunity will provide students with the chance to participate in different learning experiences such as:

  • 15 tai chi sessions
  • four yoga sessions
  • three work out sessions at a local gym with a trainer
  • 10 nutrition sessions with a chef
  • three workshop sessions to develop a personal wellness plan and learn about strengths based living

  • And more!

After students participate in these different activities within our community, they will share their learning through a variety of presentations and reflections. Students who successfully complete this 'adventure curriculum' will earn two credits toward their OSSD – a Grade 11 English optional credit and a Grade 11 physical and health education credit.

Sharon Maisonneuve, ACCESS vice principal, commented, “We believe that education is an important asset that will help people achieve their dreams.
