The Porcupine Health Unit has announced new COVID-19 vaccination clinics across the region.
In Timmins, the new clinics are at the Porcupine Health Unit office located downtown. These are for people who cannot get to the Mountjoy Arena clinics due to transportation.
"Individuals who are able to attend the future clinics at the Mountjoy Arena are asked to please leave these clinics for those who cannot access that clinic," reads a health unit news release.

Thursday, March 25
- Timmins - Porcupine Health Unit office, 169 Pine St. S., 8:30 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. It's for Indigenous people who are 18 years or older
Friday, March 26
- Timmins - Porcupine Health Unit office, 169 Pine St. S., 8:30 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. It's for adults who are 80 years and older.
Saturday, March 27
- Matheson Curling Club, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. It's for staff and essential caregivers of longterm care homes, retirement homes and First Nations Elder care; highest, very high and high-priority health care workers; adult chronic home care workers; adults 80 years and older; and Indigenous people 18 years and older.
- Kapuskasing Sports Palace, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. It's for staff and essential caregivers of longterm care homes, retirement homes and First Nations Elder care; highest, very high and high-priority health care workers; adult chronic home care workers; adults 80 years and older; and Indigenous people 18 years and older.
Sunday, March 28
- Cochrane Pavilion, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. It's for staff and essential caregivers of longterm care homes, retirement homes and First Nations Elder care; highest, very high and high-priority health care workers; adult chronic home care workers; adults 80 years and older; and Indigenous people 18 years and older.
Wednesday, March 31
- Timmins - Porcupine Health Unit office, 169 Pine St. S., 8:30 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., Porcupine Health Unit office, 169 Pine St. S. It's for Indigenous people who are 18 years or older.
Appointments are required for all clinics and walk-ins will not be accepted.

For people who do get an appointment for the vaccination, the health unit has a few tips. They are:
- Do not arrive early. People will not be allowed into the clinic before their appointment time.
- Do not gather outside.
- Bring a mask and your health card.
