Mystery family on 60-70-year-old film. Do you recognize them?

A southern Ontario man bought a camera from a North Bay seller and developed the film inside

If you love mysteries, here's your chance to play Sherlock Holmes.

Peter Modzelewski, who lives in Oshawa, wants to solve an intriguing mystery about a family outing he found on film from an old camera he bought on eBay last year.

The seller was from North Bay but, and there is no information about the locations or family members.

"Last year I bought a 90-year-old camera from a seller in North Bay that still had film inside," he told BayToday. "I developed the film and found photos of a family's outing to a splash pad from what looks to be the 1950s or maybe 1960s. I reached out to the seller that I bought the camera from, unfortunately he didn't know who the original owners were. I would have loved to have shared the photos with the family."

He'd like to find the family members and solve the mystery.

"I have a darkroom and can make prints of these photos to share with the family if you manage to track them down," Modzelewski asked us. "I was wondering if perhaps you could maybe tweet the photos out and perhaps someone will recognize the people in the photos, and the photos could be shared with them."

The only indication that the photos might have been taken in North Bay is that you can see the lake in the background of the splash pad.

"Perhaps one of the buildings on the photos can be matched up with one by the lake, or maybe where a splash pad is, or was? thinks Modzelewski.

He made a video about it and that video has gone somewhat viral in the past few weeks. You can watch it below.
