The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation is thrilled to invite everyone to attend our new fundraising event at the Timmins Mini Putt in the Hollinger Park, Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You can look forward to playing mini putt, singing your favorite song at the Karaoke Pavilion and enjoy treats at the Watering Hole. Play a round of Mini Putt for a donation to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. Players who donate $5 or more will be entered for a chance to win a door prize – a Nintendo Switch or a $350 propane gift card.

Leigh McFadden, Laboratory Manager is hoping we raise enough funds to purchase a large freezer for the laboratory, “we often freeze samples. Much like food, freezing samples preserves the integrity. It is very important to store and ship samples under optimal conditions, because the quality of the sample determines the quality of the results. If a freezer fails on us, it can lead to many samples being compromised. If we are unable to use the samples for testing, we are sometimes required to recollect the samples. Recollecting samples can be hard on our patients, especially if it was a blood sample.”

“To ensure that the best healthcare and state-of-the-art medical equipment remain available at our Timmins and District Hospital, we rely on the generous support of people like you,” said Barb McCormick, Manager of Donor Relations of the Timmins & District Hospital Foundation. “Mini putt is a fantastic way to enjoy time with friends and family and help a cause near and dear to every member of the communities we serve.”

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (TADHF) is an accredited charity, formed to support the Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) by raising funds for medical equipment, beyond funding available from government sources.

Since 1985, TADHF has transferred more than $49 Million to TADH, providing funds essential to ensure our Hospital and healthcare teams can deliver the best in specialized care to patients in the district.

Our ultimate goal, with the assistance of our donors, our volunteers, Hospital staff and health care professionals is to provide the best health care to our community.
