Kerry Cares!

We are excited to name Kerry Trudel as a Modern-Day Rosie! Kerry is a victim support worker with Victim Services, full-time university student, mom of incredible boys, wife and volunteer. She does not think of herself as a leader, instead she shares: “I think I am more of a person who journeys with others, I see the potential of those around me and aspire to lift those I can.”

Kerry helps bring awareness to the issues of human trafficking, domestic violence, and addictions; she leads educational seminars to educate young adults on the danger and warning signs in ways that resonate with them. Kerry is committed to holding fundraisers to raise money for victims of these tragic crimes, and to help people heal.

Our Rosie’s nominator described her as: “A mom of two busy boys, who also dedicates much of her time to raise awareness for autism and advocates for the ‘Vulnerable Person Registry Program’, associated with Timmins Police. She tirelessly backs and helps support the program to help better respond to crisis situations. This program works in collaboration with Timmins Police, Crime Stoppers, and the Seizure and Brain Injury Centre. Kerry feels that this program will help many of the people that she deals with on a regular basis to put their minds at ease, knowing that there is always help close by to help.”

Kerry inspires with her empathy, determination, and sacrifices to help others. She cares and values people and is always there to promote change that will help care for people in need. She helps advocate for those who may not be able to use their own voice.

Kerry finds inspiration in the people she has had the honour of helping. “I have had countless clients who have changed my life in so many ways, I wish they knew; by showing me what courage looks like in the face of adversity, what survival looks like after the un-survivable, to always remain humble. There is always a lesson that can be learned.”

Thank you for caring Kerry!
