McIntyre Curling Club closed for remainder of season

The local curling season is ending early due to COVID-19.

"After careful consideration, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and in keeping with decisions made at the National, Provincial and club levels across the Country, the Board of Directors of the McIntyre Curling Club have resolved to close the curling club for the remainder of the season effective immediately," reads a letter from Stephen Meunier, club president.

"This decision was not taken lightly, but the health and well-being of our members, staff and other stakeholders are paramount and our top priority."

Member will be able to pick up their curling gear from the club Saturday, March 14 until 4 p.m., Sunday, March 15 from noon to 4 p.m., and Tuesday, March 17 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The club's AGM has been postponed to Saturday, Oct. 3.
