Matheson man charged with sex-related offences
MATHESON – On August 31, 2016 the Matheson Ontario Provincial Police were notified of a sexual assault which occurred at a residence in the Town of Matheson.
The alleged offences occurred between 2011 and 2013.
On October 12, 2016 a 27-year-old Matheson male was arrested and charged with:
- 3 counts of invitation to sexual touching contrary to section 152 of the Criminal Code
- 3 counts of sexual assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code
- 3 counts of sexual interference contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on October 25, 2016. The accused’s name is being withheld to protect the victim.
