KAPUSKASING – On August 9, 2014, the Kapuskasing Ontario Provincial Police Detachment (OPP) responded to a report of an assault that occurred on Spruce Street, Kapuskasing Ontario.
OPP and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the residence and located a male victim who had been stabbed.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A male suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
OPP is continuing its efforts to locate the suspect, Thomas SUTHERLAND, 24 of Kapuskasing, Ontario and is asking the public for any information that may lead to his arrest.
The suspect is described as heavy build, aboriginal male, 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds.
He has short dark brown hair, brown eyes and has a dream catcher tattoo on his left forearm.
The suspect is considered dangerous and a risk to public safety.
Anyone who may know the whereabouts of this wanted suspect or who may come into contact with the suspect should not approach him.
Instead, contact the police as soon as possible by dialing 9-1-1.
