Man arrested over 'communication device'

Police say he wasn't supposed to have it

On Saturday, Apr. 22, 2017 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Timmins Police officers attended a local residence in response to a call for service.

Upon speaking to a male party at the residence, police learned that the individual was bound by a recognizance of bail.

Further investigation determined that he was in breach of the conditions imposed on him by having in his possession a communication device.

As a result, Dean Dubuc, 45, of Timmins was charged with failing to comply with a recognizance, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Dubuc remains in custody pending his next court date scheduled for Friday, Apr. 28 via video remand.
