Man arrested after west-end disturbance

TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

The Timmins Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence in the west end of the city early this morning.

Upon arrival, Timmins Police officers located a confrontational male party who was deemed to be an unwanted person allegedly causing a disturbance on site.

A routine check revealed that the man was on probation with strict conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

As a result, Jeff McGee, 35, of Timmins was arrested and has been charged with:

  • One count of fail to comply with recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
