The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into an incident of assault which occurred yesterday afternoon on Second Avenue in Timmins.
Police were called to the scene where a female victim had allegedly been assaulted.
The suspect was identified, located, and arrested a short while later by Timmins Police officers.
Based on the investigation undertaken by the Timmins Police Service, Greg Dubien, 39, of Timmins has been arrested and charged with:
- One count of assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
- One count of breach of recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The charged person remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
