Man accused of drug store robbery

Timmins Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a local pharmacy on Sunday, April 10 at approximately 8:50 p.m.

A man is alleged to have taken items without intending to pay for them and then became aggressive towards store employees and patrons when confronted.

As a result of their investigation, a local man was taken into custody and currently awaits a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.

Lawrence Nakogee, 24, of No Fixed Address, has been charged with one count of robbery and 4 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The incident was contained without injury to any person or damage to property.

The Timmins Police Service is thankful to those persons who provided assistance to the police with their investigation into this matter.
