Looking for new ink?

A Timmins tattoo shop is offering discounted tattoos tomorrow to help raise money for the Croatian Hall.

As part of the Back to Life Street Fest on Saturday, Aug. 21, Diamond in the Rough is offering $20 and $30 tattoos.

“For only $20 you get to spin our wheel and let luck decide your tattoo. These images have been done by our tattoo apprentice Emilie and once an image has been picked it will be removed,” said owner and tattoo artist Sam Deschamps.

For $30, people can choose an image from Deschamps' flash sheet. Once the image is chosen it will be removed from the options.

“Everyone will be leaving with a different tattoo,” she said.

Each tattoo will take about 15 minutes and they're aiming to do at least 20 during the event.

The shop is also offering two raffles for a $100 gift certificate and any merch item. Tickets will be $2 each or three for $5.

Because all of the proceeds are being donated to the Croatian Hall, it is a cash-only event and tattoos are only in black ink.

To be tattooed, people must be 18 years and have proper ID available or must be at least 16 years with parental consent upon entry.

The Back to Life Street Fest runs from noon to 6 p.m.

Third Avenue will be closed between Maple and Birch and there will be live music in front of Casa Bliss, which is sponsoring the event.

Admission is free. Donations will be collected throughout the day for the Croatian Hall where volunteers are raising money for much-needed repairs at the historical hall in Schumacher.

Saturday's musical lineup includes Jaycee King at noon, Mitch Jean at 1 p.m., Coldwater at 2 p.m., Eric Girard at 3:15 p.m., and Steffy at 4 p.m. Shaun Melanson will finish off the event with a performance at 5 p.m.

The event will also feature a Timmins Tuners car show and the Warriors Kanata - Hard Rock Motorcycle Club.
