Local teen arrested for selling pills at teen dance

On the 30 August 2013, Police received information that a person was selling pills known as “Molly” to kids at a teen dance. Timmins Police Service immediately began an investigation and attended the Teen dance and located the suspected person.

“Molly” is a crystal form of MDMA, the chemical used in Ecstasy.  There are many serious side effects including liver, kidney and cardiovascular failure.  Parents are encouraged to speak to their children about the dangers of taking drugs.  One young female was taken to Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance from the Teen Dance.  It is suspected the female ingested one of the “Molly pills”.

 

Samuel Girard 18 years old was arrested and charged for Possession for the purpose of Trafficking as well as possession of property obtained by crime.  He is scheduled to appear in court on October 8th 2013.
