Local charity officially marks move to new location

Quilts for Survivors is now located on Government Road South

A local charity has officially moved into its new digs.

Quilts for Survivors held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today (Dec. 11) at their new location on Government Road South. Timmins MPP George Pirie and Timmins Chamber board president Kraymr Grenke took part in the event.

The group provides handmade quilts to residential school survivors, offering comfort and support on their healing journey.

For the past couple of years, it had been running out of space on Spruce Street South. The new location is more accessible for volunteers and has more space for storing quilt tops and fabric.
