A free community event is looking at how to be prepared.

Wednesday, May 4, Canadian Red Cross emergency management co-ordinator Terrance Smith will be giving a presentation for Emergency Preparedness Week, which runs May 1-7. The event is at Narduzzi's Restaurant in Porcupine from 6-8 p.m.

The event is capped at 50 people and it is first-come, first-served.

RSVP by May 2 by emailing [email protected]. If you're looking to buy dinner while you're there, include the number of people who will be eating in the email so the restaurant can be prepared.
