Let’s face it, 2020 was like a failed renovation project, but that doesn’t mean that Timmins should take the success of our businesses for granite. The Chamber is seeking business’ most riveting owners, operators, and galvanizing leaders as nominations are now open for the 2021 Nova Business Excellence Awards.

To be held virtually on Thursday, May 13, the Nova Awards are the region’s largest celebration of entrepreneurial achievement and help to recognize the best of Timmins business across 15 categories. This year’s event will feature the theme of “Nova 2021 – Building Business” to help showcase all the many ways that Timmins’ entrepreneurs continue to remain above cupboard, hinging on the successes of their crews and their partnerships, according to Chamber President Melanie Verreault.

“Many of Timmins’ business leaders are community builders, bridging gaps and hammering out key investments that grow our economy. This award show is a fantastic way to recognize their commitment, creativity, capabilities, and achievements in their fields,” said Verreault.

“Each year, the Nova Awards encourages our business leaders to raise and not raze, build and not bludgeon, and provide constructive ways to support and celebrate one another, so if you know a business owner who really nailed it this year, be sure to nominate them. From molding a vision to breaking the mold, even the best can’t be celebrated unless they’re nominated.”
