KIRKLAND LAKE - On Feb. 26, 2019, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic dispute in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Investigation revealed that a male shared intimate images of his ex-partner without her consent.
As a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old male, from Kirkland Lake, Ontario, was charged with the following:
- Distribute Intimate Image Without Consent, contrary to section 162.1(1) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, on March 21, 2019.
The OPP will not be releasing the name in order to protect the identity of the victim.
