With forest fire season underway, the Northeast Region Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services is now providing updates regarding active fires and hazards in the region.
There are no active wild land fires in the northeast as of Monday afternoon, however, the area along the Quebec border from Temiskaming Shores to north of Kirkland Lake is showing a high hazard.
Otherwise, the fire hazard is mostly low to moderate across the Northeast.
