Scottish born Canadian Johnny Reid impresses fans in Timmins

On the final day of the eight-day Stars and Thunder festival in Timmins, Scottish born country crooner Johnny Reid made a huge connection with the over 20,000 fans in attendance.

Reid hopped onstage wearing a bright red jacket in honour of Canada's 150th birthday, a country he called 'the best in the world'.

He and his band performed with a dizzying amount of energy and exuberance. Early on in his set, Reid climbed down the stage stairs to get up close and personal with several adoring fans, giving high fives, hugs, and hand kisses.

Reid and his band went above and beyond in 'warming up' the crowd ahead of festival headliner Keith Urban, with some even saying Reid stole the show.
