A new chief administrative officer has been named for Iroquois Falls.

Brian Finner is the new CAO, the town announced today (March 27). Joel Cyr is the new deputy CAO/director of growth and infrastructure.

Last month, the town released a statement that the former CAO Osei Bosompem was no longer employed with the municipality.

Bosompem had been in the role since at least 2021, which is the first year he was listed on the Ontario Sunshine List for the position. Finner had been the director of recreational services with the municipality since 2018, according to his LinkedIn.

Since the former CAO left the municipality, Finner has been fulfilling the role in an interim capacity.

"Finner brings several years of direct municipal senior management experience to the table, along with a deep understanding of management principles, strategic planning, facilitation and executive leadership. His commitment to continuous learning and comprehensive knowledge of municipal operations makes him very well-suited to lead our organization into the future," reads the town notice.

Cyr has more than a decade of experience in municipal senior management, according to the town.

"With a background in engineering and a comprehensive understanding of municipal operations, Joel Cyr is poised to support strategic expansion, operational resilience and effective capital project management within our community," reads the announcement.
