Police reminding drivers to slow down along Highway 101

The Timmins Police Service – Traffic Services Section, has received complaints of drivers speeding along Highway 101, specifically in the area of between McIntyre Road and South Porcupine.

Officers conducted traffic enforcement in the area yesterday, April 25, which resulted in three drivers being charged with speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The Timmins Police Service remains committed to traffic safety as one of its top priorities.

We would like to remind drivers that it is their responsibility to be aware of all posted speed limits and to remain within those limits.

Many motor vehicle collisions are the result of excessive speed and could be prevented simply by slowing down.

All drivers are urged to keep this traffic safety message in mind so that we can all work together in achieving the goal of safer roads for everyone.
