Home sales slow in month of July: CREA

It's still the second-highest level of home sales on record for the month

The number of homes sold in the Timmins area for the month of June 2021 dropped 17.7 per cent from July 2020.

However, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association, July 2021 still marked the second-highest level of home sales on record for the month.

The dollar value of all homes sold in July 2021 was $37 million, a decline of 15.3 per cent from the same month in 2020.

To compare, in July 2021:

  • 163 residential units were sold
  • $226,701 was the average price of homes sold
  • 187 new residential listings were posted

To compare, in July 2020:

  • 198 properties were sold
  • $211,399 was the average price of homes sold
  • 242 new residential units were posted

In June 2021:

  • 166 residential units were sold
  • $226,335 was the average price of homes sold
  • 227 new residential listings were posted

To compare, in June 2020:

  • 186 properties were sold
  • $183,367 was the average price of homes sold
  • 286 new residential units were posted
