Science Timmins is having a celebration for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

Summerfest

Jake’s Bar, South Porcupine 

The 25th annual event is scaled back. Friday starting at 9 p.m. there is live music with Kyle Cote and Bobby Allen, and Saturday will feature Cote and The 287s.

Tai Chi demonstrations

The FLK Taoist Tai Chi Timmins Branch is doing demonstrations throughout the summer. 

Celebrating Apollo 11 50th Anniversary 

Saturday, July 20, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Science Timmins

They'll be live streaming the Canada Space Agency from the Ontario Science Centre starting at 1 p.m. There will be planetarium presentations at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and you can sample moon drink and moon food. It's free for members, or $8 for non-members.
