Monday, Aug. 19, 1 - 5 p.m.

Timmins Museum

A free Digital Creator workshop open to youth ages 11 to 19 years. 

Youth Wellness Hub 

Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1 - 6 p.m.

White Waterfront Park, South Porcupine

Free activities for youth ages 12 to 25 years. Each hub offer snacks, a chill space, activities, bus tickets, peer mentors and counsellor support.

Tween Photography

Aug. 20, 21 and 22, 2 - 4 p.m.

Digital Creator and the Timmins Public Library have teamed up for a free three-day workshop for tweens to learn the basics of photography. It’s for youth ages nine to 13 years. And will be held at the Timmins Public Library and Gillies Lake. Register by calling the library at 705-360-2623 ext. 8519.

Urban Park

Aug. 21 - 23 

This week’s action is on Third Avenue between Spruce and Cedar. Wednesday there are kids' activities, Thursday is the farmers' market, and Friday features Tunes at Noon.

Wonder Wednesdays

Wednesday, Aug. 21, 10 a.m. to noon, and 2 - 4 p.m.

Timmins Museum

A drop-in, make-and-take session for children accompanied by an adult. This week's activity is needle felting, a simple concept that uses felting needles to transform wool into a cute, 3D object. The cost is $10.

Brent and Sarah Magic Show

Wednesday, Aug. 21, 10:30 - 11:30 p.m.

Timmins Public Library 

Enjoy the impressive magic, hilarious comedy and live music in this one-of-a-kind show. 

Summer Concert Series 

Wednesday, Aug. 21, 6 - 9 p.m.

Schumacher Lions Club McIntyre Park

This week’s performers are Piper and Carson, and Lucanus Pell - the Man From Hell. When the bands are changing over, Rebel Soul Tribe will be leading sessions of Zumba, Pound, Flow and line dancing. It’s free to attend. Voluntary cash or non-perishable food items for the Timmins and South Porcupine food banks are welcome.

Community salad and barbecue

Wednesday, Aug. 21, 5 - 7 p.m.

Kidd Operations Community Garden, Bannerman Avenue

There will be workshops on the uses of clover, bee houses, polinators, and making salad dressing. Bring your own vegetable to contribute to the community salad.
