Remembrance Day ceremonies are returning in person this year. Both local ceremonies are scaled back, however.

There are two ceremonies on Nov. 11 — at the cenotaph in Hollinger Park and in South Porcupine at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 287.

At the Timmins cenotaph, the ceremony starts just before 11 a.m. People are asked to arrive between 10:30-10:45 a.m.

There will be no parade to the cenotaph and people are asked to social distance. Only a limited number of wreaths will be laid during the ceremony.

In South Porcupine, people are asked to be in place by 10:40 a.m. There is also no parade for the ceremony. The public can watch from Legion Drive and there will be first responders lined up on Bruce Avenue.

Only a limited number of wreaths will be laid during the ceremony. There is no luncheon following this year's ceremony.
