Heat warning in effect for:
• Kirkland Lake - Englehart
• New Liskeard - Temagami
Significant heat and humidity will arrive on Friday.
Daytime temperatures in the low thirties with afternoon humidex values in the mid 30s and night time minimum temperatures near twenty are expected for Friday and Saturday.
A weak cold front Saturday evening will bring cooler and less humid temperatures to the region.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
