One COVID-related death, 42 new cases and 48 recoveries are being reported by the Porcupine Health Unit today (Feb. 2).

There are 29 patients who have been tested for COVID and are waiting for the results or who will be tested. The total number of hospitalizations in the region is not known because the health unit does not actively report the local data.

The recent local deaths have included one man in his 60s, three men and one woman in their 70s, two men and two women in their 80s and a man 90 years or older, according to provincial data. Six were related to an outbreak.
