Signs promoting Rock on the River are popping up across the city.

A live music festival is back in town this weekend.

Ahead of the gates opening for Rock on the River Reconnect at Hollinger Park, Timmins Festivals and Events Committee are letting fans in on what to expect.

COVID-19 pre-screening is mandatory for all people attending. You can do this via the code on your ticket or the QR code at the venue.

Masks also must be worn at all times when not eating or drinking. Because it's an outdoor event, proof of vaccination is not required.

There is no parking at Hollinger Park.

Organizers encourage concert-goers to carpool or use public transportation.

Rock on the River is being held on Oct. 1 and 2.

Arkells are headlining the Friday, Oct. 1 show that will also feature July Talk, The Beaches and Paul Sebalj.

Saturday, Oct. 2 The Glorious Sons are the headliners, with the other acts being Matt Mays, JJ Wilde and Relic Kings.

VIP tickets are sold out for both nights. General admission tickets are still available for $80 per night. Kids 12 and under are $20 each at the door only.

Tickets can be bought online at timminsfestivals.com.
