Want to have a say on the public school board’s future?

Stakeholders will have the chance to comment on the District School Board Ontario North East’s (DSBONE) three-year strategic plan at two sessions next week. Similar community consultations have already been held at other schools in the board's district this year.

DSBONE is in the process of developing the plan, which will act as a roadmap to make informed decisions.

“The formulation of a new Strategic Plan will be a comprehensive process comprising research and consultation with our schools and communities,” said Director of Education, Lesleigh Dye, in a news release. “We will be discussing our long-term goals, priorities, and formulating an updated mission and vision. Input from the public is essential in formulating our overall strategic direction.”

 The community consultations are:

• Tuesday, Feb. 27 rom 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Timmins High and Vocational School

• Thursday, March 1 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Roland Michener Secondary School
