Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT) has received its largest-ever donation.
Three Timmins-based Indigenous companies and a mental health services organization partnered to make an anonymous $65,000 donation, according to ACT.
"These funds are going to be a big help to over 10 local food initiatives and I look forward to working with food and shelter community partners to support them and their greatest needs with this donation," said Jennifer Vachon, ACT executive director, in a news release.
"We are incredibly grateful to the business partners that took it upon themselves to join forces to support local food security projects and, as a result, help thousands of people in our community."
