The 2020 Coldest Night of the Year event is kicking off with a launch party this week.
The Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT) is throwing a community launch party Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Full Beard Brewing.
Coldest Night of the Year is a fundraiser for ACT that see participatnts walk two, five or 10 kilometres on Feb. 22. The goal this year is to raise $40,000.
The launch party is a chance for people to learn about the event or to register to take part of volunteer. There will be snacks and prizes from local businesses.
Dec. 5, Manitoulin Pizza Company, which is located at Full Beard, is donating $2 from every pizza sold that day to the event.
