Grab your hiking shoes and come join us at the Hersey Lake Conservation Area this Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 for Timmins Hiking Day. Whether you are new to Timmins or a long time resident, this is an opportunity to explore the Hersey Lake trail system and learn about the many health benefits associated with hiking.
People are asked to meet at the picnic pavilion near the beach at 10 a.m. Guides will depart from the pavilion at 10 a.m. to lead two different hikes. Participants will learn about the unique vegetation and wildlife that we have here in northern Ontario. Participants will also be treated to coffee and hot chocolate.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy the great outdoors.
In an effort to reduce waste from disposable cups, residents are asked to bring their own travel mugs.
