Members of the Timmins Professional Firefighters Association attended Timmins and District Hospital last week to present a cheque for $1,466.65 to some members of the Breast Wellness Centre team at TADH.

The funds were generated during the firefighters’ annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month pink t-shirt fundraiser, which has raised $4,836 over the last three years.

“Help Us Give Cancer the Boot” t-shirts were printed locally and sold for $20 during the month of October. Timmins firefighters wore the 2016 edition of the pink t-shirts while on duty every Monday and Friday throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Congratulations to the Timmins Fire Department and Timmins Professional Firefighters Association on a very successful “Pink T-shirt Campaign”!

We are extremely grateful to the firefighters for their generosity of spirit and for choosing the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation as recipients of that generosity once again this year.
